I laugh whenever people ask me for article marketing secrets. Why? That’s because it’s really no secret at all that there are no real secrets to article marketing, THAT’s why. The same way you would market a moisturizer, a book or a video CD, that’s pretty much the same way you should market your articles. You write them and then push them out to as many people as possible through as many viable and affordable avenues as possible. Is that article marketing secrets? Nope. Hardly.
No secret to marketing your articles
Sitting down and writing your article is one of the first steps you have to take but how do you do it when there is absolutely nothing (you think) worthy to write about? Do some surfing on the internet, read stuff that others have written and keeping yourself in the loop is an important a secret if there are article marketing secrets. The articles that you read online, magazines and books will most probably send ideas into your head when you’re drawing blanks. And then you sit down to conjure up your own ideas based loosely on the ideas of others and then you come up with something on your own.
Is that an article marketing secret? Still….no.
What are the kind of article marketing secrets are talking about, then
Just like you, I’ve seen many people claim that they have the ultimate article marketing secret which can bring tons of traffic to your website or blog and henceforth, bring you lots of instant cash. What they have is what most people in the internet marketing business have been using for many, many years now – it’s no article marketing secrets, sad to say.
They write their articles and then pump them into blogs, place links in forums and message boards, put links in their online social networking profiles, bookmark them in online bookmarking sites so that others can find it and then they send emails out to their mailing list. That’s it. It’s not something I would call article marketing secrets, really, because that’s very basic stuff.
Don’t expect shortcut article marketing secrets
The more you want to shortcut the process, the less likely you’ll succeed. Success is a lot of hard work, even in the online world. Everything evolves so quickly that you’ll find your fingers and head aching just to promote one single article that you’ve written.
