Turning Your Blog Into One That Rocks
Marsha Maung

Most of us know that we need a blog or at least a website to survive in the dog-eat-dog online business world but let's admit it, not all of us have the time to sit down and blog quite as often as we would like to. This is when we have professional blogging services!

Here is a list of things that you should check out before signing on the dotted line.

Remember, anyone can claim to be a freelance writer or a professional blog writer. You don't know who it is that you are dealing with especially if meeting is not possible because of location. Determine the person's adequacy by going through his or her writings and blog. If this person is a professional blogging service provider, it is only logical that this person updates his or her blog often enough. Be sure to check if it is a professional blog or merely a personal blog. That is because you can't tell much from a person's personal blog because they don't take as much care writing it there and it is usually about everyday life (unless the blog is about a specific topic – like blogging or writing).

The professional blogging services provided should also be determined after a trial run. For instance, if you are still uncomfortable about the information that you have about this writer, inform him or her that you intend for the service to be on a trial basis. Give this person a 3-4 blog post trial.

During this time, there should be some leeway given because you can't very well expect the blog posts to be perfect the first time round. The most important thing is to evaluate the style of writing, the level of information provided in the posts and also if you think readers of your blog will like the blog posts.

If you feel that this blogger is adequate or good, hire him or her on a retainer basis. With professional blogging services, it is usually fine if you wish to leave the updating completely up to the blogger and let this person decide on topic; however, you determine the regularity.

During the tenure of the service, you are encouraged to actually feed the blogger with tips, ideas, articles, links, images and feedback. If, for some reason, the blog posts were not the kind you liked, then you need to inform him or her and provide them with examples of the blog posts that you deem fit for your blog.
