Whenever we hear the word freelance research writer, we think of someone who is stashed up in a swanky office in some part of town, sipping wine with a big-time client and enjoying some really exotic middle-of-the-day snack. Freelance research writers are hardly like that. With the state of the global economy in a tumble like this, it’s hardly possible to imagine that a freelance research writer could enjoy any form of luxury apart from the caffeine fix that we often feed ourselves.
What’s a researching writer who does research stuff do then?
A freelance writer who focuses his or her attention of research needs to be flexible and absorbs like a sponge. Be it writing about a bike or a blender, clothing line or diapers, the writer’s got to be able to put himself or herself into the whole thing, wholeheartedly.
Most of the time, the freelance research writer would be working on more than one project. Compartmentalizing the brain is then important. Once you’re off the project, the writer’s got to peel himself or herself from the topic and then enter another world.
Availability – stretching the time and resources of a freelance research writer not a good idea
While it’s possible to stretch the time and effort of an SEO writer, it’s quite impossible to stretch the research writer too thin because it compromises quality. You see, the depth that an SEO writer has to dig is far shallower than a researching writer has to dig.
Everything has to be on the dot and it’s not merely a bunch of paragraphs written to impress the search engines….it’s meant to impress people who have knowledge about the particular topic. So, rushing a researching writer could mean taking the risk of sounding completely off-mark….or, bluntly speaking, stupid.
The cost of hiring a freelance research writer
The cost of a freelance research writer is higher than hiring just ANY writer because of the effort and time required for the work. A female writer who is currently writing about entertainment news needs to detach herself from the topic while delving into surfing techniques. On the hand, a male freelance research writer who is writing on Formula One racing might need some time to adjust to writing about fashion stuff.
You could stay safe by sticking to a gender but this is not a priority because I’ve written tons of ATV, racing, bike-fixing research articles before and I know for a fact that it’s about how adept we are about the topic but it’s about how fast are we able to grasp the concept.
